Default Calories too high?

Hello,

I'm going to start a cut in the next week and I'm following the '13-week fat-burning' diet. I've got most of it figured out, but I'm getting a bit confused with the calories I should have each day.

As a person, I'd be put into the endomorph category and at the moment I have basically no metabolism. Using two of the formulas on the 13 week diet, I figured that my daily calorie intake is about 3700. To me, this seems rather high and I know that having a very low metabolism wouldn't be doing me any favors, but should I use these figures on my (cut) diet?

I've decided to plan this diet/workout plan properly this time, as I've found many times before that no planning is just planning to fail. As a heavyset person, I know that my calorie intake is going to be higher, but in a way, the weight will just fall off quicker, right?

Basically, what I'm asking, is that count (3700) too high? With the diet, it says to drop it by 250 per week, and I'm planning on dropping it by 300, so the first three weeks I'll be having 3300 calories. Could someone help me out, I realise the count is high, but is that normal for a large person when they're first starting out? I find that planning all of this can be a bit over-whelming at first, and I've been a member here for a while, and found this to be a valueable source of information for many things.

Default Re: Calories too high?

If your calculations are correct then I would just start at that calorie target. If you feel if its too much after 2-3 days, just drop the calories. It would be better to start at a higher calorie target and drop from there (finding your "sweet spot") rather then starting low and risking muscle loss.
