not sure if this should be in nutrition forum or not but here goes:
so Ive been on a recent cut for the last 4 weeks and so far Ive lost just about 7 or so lbs which is right about on schedule for where I should be I think. My biggest concern, like most, is being able to retain as much muscle mass as possible. Backing up a little bit, I always had a hard time putting on weight and so gaining weight was always always a big priority for me. Now that Im at the point where I need to be cutting some weight off, I feel like Im losing more muscle than fat even at a pound or two a week. Is this just in my head or is this actually possible. Im following the 13 weeks diet and workout protocol so Im thinking maybe its just that Im so used to trying to gain weight, that now that Im losing it, I feel like Im losing the muscle I worked so hard to gain. What do u all think? Thanks

The most accurate way to measure fat loss vs. muscle loss is to use calipers and take measurements regularly. By doing this, the numbers should speak for themselves.

I know what you are saying I think too. When losing weight you feel like you are getting weaker or losing muscle mass strength?
This could be since when you are cutting it is also possible that with the fat you are using, you are also using up a small amount of muscle tissue. But then in the last you are supposed to have more muscle tissue than before you started the whole bulking and cutting cycle.
