Hi G.I.M you dont need to do 5reps 5sets on all exercises! It's only meant for the squat, deadlift and bench. You could try it on other big compound movements if you want.
Even powerlifters need the full range of reps, so my assistant exercises usually include 5-12reps. But big compound movements I always keep heavy.. like military presses, skullcrushers, closegrip benchpress, even flys and more.

And about the taper, I usually taper off after competitions, then I reduce my weights significantly and do more reps..even bodybuild for a while.

Bench day!

Im going for a slightly different workout format today, again to see how i go with everything.

Bench Press 5/50 5/52.5 5/55 5/57.5 5/52.5
Military Press 10/40 4/45 2/50
SS Bent Over Rows 8/40 6/45 6/57.5
BB Pullovers 10/20 6/27.5 4/35
Wide Grip Bench 5/45 x 5

Deadlift day!

Deadlift 5/70 x 5
Overhead Squats 8/30 6/35 4/40
SS Pulldowns 8/5P 8/7P 6/6P
Snatches 6/35 6/40 3/42.5
Seated Rows 8/9P x 3
Calf Raises 10/70 x 3
BB Curls 3/32.5 x 3

Still seems light, but just got new plates yesterday, so iv enever deadlifted this before. I know i can, but good things come to those who wait!

I really felt like i made a difference to my calves when i did my first squat workout. I did 3 sets of 10 i think, with 65, with static action. Felt great! So im going to continue doing this! Once again, i know my calves are strong enough to do more, but you cant rush things!

Happy Lifting!

Good work GIM just curious are your weights in pounds of kilos?

Also I have to give you props for doing Snatches that truly is a lost art in gyms these days. I know personally I am the only one in my gym who does them.

I measure in kilos. And yes, i'd love some tips with snatches! I find they are great, but i need tips on proper technique and everything. I bet you noticed the extremely low weights! I mean, i can curl more than what im doing

I'd love to help you out but my techique isnt exacly 100%. I almost exclusivly use the Power varients of the olympic movements. Wit the Power varients you have more room for error as you do not need to fall into the full squat, but the draw back is that becuase you do not get that low you cannot lift as much weight and do not get the full benefit of the olympic squat.

Ahh so the weights are in Kg, okay. I wasnt sure becasue if they were in lb, I'd say you deadlift needed some major work if your only DLing 70lb.
