I am looking into getting one.
I was thinking about this one, Here. Since I use that in my gym. Do you guys have any suggestions for a good one? Thanks!

Not that I'd buy a big ticket item from ebay, but check this one by Life Fitness
http://cgi.ebay.com/Life-fitness-Ellipti...1QQcmdZViewItem I've tried precors and like them, but I like this company/style a little bit better. I think the one pictured here is an older model though, not sure. I also like something called the Arc Trainer? They have them at NYSC here in NY, not sure if you've seen those but they're pretty cool too. You don't want one that involves arm movement al la x-trainer? (may as well have the option if the price difference is not too great) |

I've tried the Life Fitness. I would definitely take the Precor over it, anyday. The Life Fitness kind of constrains your movements and doesn't seem to be quite as sturdy or stable as the Precor. However, it does seem that perhaps it works you harder, though that is more likely just one of those relativity things, as I was working harder to burn less calories (measured) on the Life Fitness.

Ya, Precor are the best. You just have to be willing to fork out the cash to get one.

Thanks, guys!
Which type do you like best? I.E. the 5.33 or the 5.17? I was thinking the ones with the handles, so that you work both your lower and upper body, allowing you to metabolize more calories.

Definitely with the handles. I thought those other ones were made for people without arms.

Hooah101,
I was thinking of getting the 5.19. The only difference I see, is that the 5.33 has 14 programs, instead of 4, which does not matter to me. BUT...it costs $1000 more! Do you think that is just as good as the 5.33, besides the programs? And yes, I often just drive to the gym to do cardio and it takes a ton of time. I have to get ready, and then drive there and back, and usually get stuck talking to people at the gym. All in all, this would save me at least 1 hour daily, and that adds up! Plus, it would increase my exercise adhearance for cardio.
