I been reading a lot of helpful articles, and posts on this site and most of you guys talk about eating oatmeal in the moring because of the fibrous, slow burning carbs. Well I can't stand the stuff. To me it's like eating pencil shavings, don't ask me how I know that, and I have to force myself to eat it. Are you all eating the Quick Oats (no sugar or flavoring) or is it possible to get some flavored oatmeal as long as I watch the extra sugar content. Any helps or others suggestions would really help. Right now I'm eating Cheerios, and not eating any sugar. Closest thing I can think of.

No, you want the unsugared stuff. Look at the ingredients. It should say 100% rolled oats, or something like that.
You can mix it with your protein shake if you want and just drink it down. I like microwaving them and adding splenda. It tastes good that way. |

Grind the oats in a coffee grinder. And to whey shake and hammer it down!

I nuke mine with H20 and then add a scoop of my ON Banana Scream. It tastes very good that way, and I don't need the Splenda or the sugar. For a change, I sometimes use splenda and cinnamon and drink a shake. It's not bad.
I feel the same way about Cottage Cheese as you do about oatmeal, but I'm getting used to it.

I was the same way when i first started eating it. However, I look forward to eating my oats every morning! Here is my recipe
1/2 cup oats (dry) mix with plenty of water and microwave add 1 scoop of ON chocolate whey and stir in 2-3 cooked egg whites- stir in Tastes GRRRRRRRRRRREEEAAAT! i recently sprinkled some splenda on top, makes it even better but isnt needed. |

OHH MAN i love Oatmeal. I got a HUGE cylinder of Quaker Oats, **** good with a little sugar and some syrup.

Try this. Put these ingrediants into a blender.
2 cups milk 2 scoops chocolate whey 2 cups of oats 2 tablespoons of blueberries blend Tastes like blueberry muffins. I know you like muffins. |

If you're not on a cut, I would try rasins in my oatmeal. They give a different texture to it and help you really get them down quick.
