Seems that tonight I had a real test from God. They seem to come at the moments of my greatest victories of my own personal ambitions.
The tempation to take my victories and use them to glorify Satan, or to glorify God. I have read the story of Job, and how God did test him to see if he really was a worthy and righteous man. God even let Satan come into Job's life to see if Job would blame God for the misfortunes that Satan brought upon him. I have read the story of Jesus, and how God let Satan take his life by crucifixion, yet Jesus blamed God not. So for me also for all of the good fortune of my life, I give thanks God , and for all the misfortune I accredit to Satan. Your ideas sound good,,but one thing to remmeber I think is that sometimes we have problems created by our own mistakes and we give Satan to much credit for what goes worng and that only makes him happier. Cause he making us think he has power of Gods children some way but remember he doesn't have any power until gods lets him. May God Bless you forever but be careful not to give him to much credit that it makes Satan smile.

I agree with Rick - all too often we are quick to blame Satan, when in fact we could have prevented the "bad thing" from happening ourselves.
Of course, Satan IS the original root of all evil so to speak, but that's another topic

By the way, what is it that the wise men say?...The greatest trick the devil ever played, was to make people beleive he didn't exist.
But I was thinking that if someone has an enemy, wouldn't they want to know everything they can about that person? Their strengths and weaknesses, where they live, what time they get up, what time they go to bed, where they go, who their friends are, what they look like and other information or intelligence as is needed. Such as king would not go to war against a nation and expect victory unless his counsel has been wise and he knew more than the enemy did about him, and could conquer. This is why it may be that we are not putting enough light in Satan and on what his works and activities are.

Satan is not omnipresent.
Keep that in mind as well. Meaning he cant be bothering you and me at the same time.

[/ QUOTE ] Yup, and they are all on the same side, recking havoc on earth. kokokolo, The bible only credits ominipresent abilities to God. I am not sure of a scripture that directly refuts that satan is omnipresent (though non to my knowledge suggest that he is); however, it may be induced from various texts

[ QUOTE ]
Im pretty sure Satan is omnipresent ... HAve any verses to show this either way? [/ QUOTE ] No: Satan is not omnipresent, God is the only one. Job 1:7 says: "And the Lord said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." " If satan was everywhere, why ask where he was coming from? No satan is a created being, similar to the angel or cherub. (cf. Ezekiel 28; Isaiah 14) Also there are demons, the bible does mention that satan is the "prince of the devils" (Matt. 12:24) And Matthew 25:41 says: "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." Revelation 12:4 tells of how the dragon(satan) "drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth" So, it is commonly believed that satan took with him 1/3 of God's angels at his fall.
