I tore my ACL and I had to have surgery in my knee. My injured knee looks very skinny now, and it's really lookin' weird cause I Used to have really big bulky legs.
I'm gonna be doing Physiotherapy for while,but hopefully when I'll improve the range of motion in my knee I wanna gain back my massive legs. So how should I train my legs when I hopefully get back to the weight room? where do I start from??? How should I train to get my legs to be even in their size? I know I have a long time 'till when I'll be able to train them but I'll be happy to hear your advice! |

Your physical therapist is the best person to advise you on this. They have treated you thus far and no the most about your specific case.
If the surgical repair has been successful and you ahve been dilligent in your rehabilitation then there is no reason why you will not be able to restore the leg, in time to its former size. You will be able to return to full intensity training of the legs, you may just have to progress to this level of intensity slowly. Your physical therapist will be the best person to guide your progress in this manner. Also I would remember how important it is to be doing not just strength work on your reconstructed leg, but also functional activity training and plyometric training as a means of restoring full function in the limb and to prevent against injury in the future. Again your therapist should be able to give you appropriate guidelines here.
