Default Anybody experienced that ?

Hi,

I have a very specific question about creatine. Seven years ago, when i was training hard I started taking creatine and I noticed that I got some large pimples appearing on my back and on top of the shoulders. With the timing and the very few other supplements i was taking (whey and glutamine), it seemed to be related to the creatine. My back skin was not perfect in the first place as I already got pimples from time to time but the skin condition became a lot worse than before after taking creatine.

Now Im getting back in shape and I am a bit afraid to start taking creatine because of that...

Did anybody else experienced the same thing with creatine ?

Thanks!

no, and the creatine would not have anything to do with the pimpled, since creatine has no effects on testosterone.

I never said it was steroid, never even tought of that... It's just that I experienced that, and wanted to know if anyone else got this...maybe it wasn't related to creatine and I wish so, but at the time it seemed to be related.

It has a pretty bad press in the UK too.

Even amongst the medical profession.

My Doctor " I would advise against anyone taking any course of creatine above and beyond that produced naturally by your body."

The creatine would not have directly caused your pimples. How old were you when this happened? A teen I'm guessing? The pimples were probably just due to normal teenage hormonal issues.

At the time I was like 19 or 20 years old.

From what I understand, when you take creatine you should drink more water... and what I think might have happened is that I wasn't drinking enough water while taking creatine.

I always noticed that if I get dehydrated (even these days) it has a bad effect on my skin.

Thanks guys for sharing your infos

I'll give creatine another try soon !
