Default Canada question

What are most Canadian's backgrounds? Are there mostly a mixture of different backgrounds or are Canadians mostly French?

I think only about 20% of Canadians come from a French background but most of them live in Quebec. Apart from that Canada is mostly from British descendents or mixed backgrounds. Then come the other Europeans who make about 15% of the country and then the balance is a little of everything, Asian, Amer-Indian, Middle-eastern etc...

It depends where you go too. If you go to a big city like Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver you will see a little of everything. You can walk through Chinatowns and think you are in China and Little Italy and think you are on the set of the Sopranos.

Smaller towns can have pockets of Francophones or Anglophones or natives no matter where you go.

The last stats I saw were around 2% which is not huge. If I am wrong I apologize, meant no disrespect.
