Crab meats are pretty high in protein. So it is fine for a cut. Of course it is preferably cooked for safety reason. Crab meat is not a cheap source of protein. Is it cheap by you ?
I find that crab meat to be annoying. You have to crack the shell, and the pick with the special forks and then...dip in the drawn butter (OH OH!!!) and then eat it. When you say ROE, do you mean the caviar ?

well...
Caviar has lots of fats. Since you eat in minuscule amounts, that should be fine for a cut. usually folks eat it with cracker and cracker would be okay in limited amounts, preferably whole wheat with no white flour in a cut.
