Coconut Oil Smoothie.

10-12 ice cubes
100ml coconut milk.
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon flax seed oil
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Splash of milk.

Place all ingredients in a blender and process at high speed until well combined. You may are more or less ice, depending on how cold you like a smoothie.

I have not tried this with any other flavour protein. Would be great if someone could and report back!

Also, apologies but I do not have the macros for this.

these look good, I just need to buy all the other ingredients before i give them a try

Does the taste of the flax and almond extract dim down the taste of the coconut oil a lot? My only issue would be having a lot of EFA's with MCTs could cause an absorbtion problem.

There's a book with a plethora of recipes that make you take in coconut oil without a problem. I'm in the same situation about taste. I can't eat it raw.
Here's the book title...I love this book:

Eat Fat, Lose Fat by Mary Enig and Sally Fallon.
This is the definitive book source there are over 20 pages on coconut oil recipes!

But besides in food, I take it with very warm green tea. It's so warming and filling, the coconut oil gives the green tea a whole new flavor.

In the smoothie recipe, it is the flavoured whey and vanilla extract that help the taste. I think you could leave the flaxseed oil out of the recipe if you so desired and it wouldnt affect the taste much (except to perhaps make it better!)

******** Blueberry Muffins! *********

1/2 cup lukewarm water
1 egg
1/2 cup honey (Replacements could be: splenda, sugar free syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh blueberries

*Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine water, egg, honey, vanilla, and melted coconut oil (not hot) in a bowl and mix thoroughly. In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the liquid, mixing just until moistened. Fold in the blueberries. Pour into greased muffin cups. Bake for 15 minutes. Each muffin contains about 1/4 tablespoon oil.

*As a variation to this recipe you can substitute another fruit, such as rasberries or cherries, for the blueberries. You can create a variety of different muffins using different fruits.

*I also recommend that you play around with adding more coconut oil and see how it tastes. 12tbsp of coconut oil would give you about 1 tbsp each muffin which would be better, but see for yourself how it tastes.

Heres another idea I just tried tonight:

200ml Coconut milk
2 scoops On chocolate whey
Sprinkle of cinnamon
200ml of milk

Add these ingredients, in order, into a blender. Whizz for 60 seconds. Enjoy! IMO, this tastes very very good.
