Default overtraining

I'm new to posting, but I have been a long time abcbodybuilder. By this, I mean I basically started my bodybuilding obsession with the help of the information on this website. I just recently increased the intensity of my workouts (length, # of sets, how often I train) as I'm trying to get out of a plateua, and I find myself fealing weird. By weird I mean that I get dizzy sometimes after I workout and I feel almost sick. Has anyone out there experienced overtraining and have felt some of these symptoms? I feel great when I workout, I have plenty of energy, but its the time after my workouts that I feel different. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Nebis!

Well, now that you mention calorie intake I think thats my problem. I haven't really changes my diet, by I really increased my workouts, so logically I would have to also increase my calorie intake to keep up. Right now I'm trying to bulk up, so I eat 6 meals a day with plenty of fats and protein. An average day is:

large bowl of oatmeal with protein shake
turkey sandwich
post-workout meal: large protein shake, gatorade, bowl of cerial.
chicken, fish, etc.
egg sandwich

my workout now consists of working every muscle 2 times per week. I workout 6 days/ week about 2-3 hours each workout now. This is up from about 5 days per week at about 1.5-2 hours per workout session.

What do you think??
Thanks for your help!

that is quite a bit I only train for no more than an hour if I am intensifieing my workouts I cut down my rest period. An hour to an hour and a half I feel is the most should be spent at the gym.

are you doing am and than pm workouts ? I used to train various muscles twice a week but I noticed no noticable gains as opposed to once a week if you do train twice a week do you go light the second time you work the muscle? not saying you are suppose to but I am however curious

Considering the amount you are training I would certainly say you are not eating enough.

I know what you are going through....It doesn't happen to me anymore but when I first started bodybuilding several years ago I use to get Nauseated afterwards. I don't know what happened but overtime it stopped and I felt great after my workouts. I almost quit workout for that reason...I was thinking to myself that "HEY everyone says you are suppose to feel Great after a workout...but I didn't, I felt sick" Of course all of that was way before I found ABC. Anyway I don't know what it could be, Maybe it was my body just getting use to the intense workout, I don't know. Either way change your diet and things like that which were suggested above. It's NOT overtraining...but I don't think it's much to worry about. As mine did, I think yours will pass too. Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice guys. I used to train every muscle once a week, and then I plateaed, so I moved to once every 5 days and got great results, so I'm trying to go even further now that I've hit another plateau. Maybe a better question to throw out there is how some of you guys get out of your plataues. What works the best for your guys? More often, change exercises, more sets, change diet, etc.??

Thanks!

Different methods work best for me like the riot bombing and the 21's things like that indroducing a new excersize

and even moving a particular muscle to a different day can help

unless you're using "vitamin s", you're training way to long on not enough calories, what supps are you on to kep your recovery up? read up on periodization techniques to keep from hitting plateaus. U dont have to train 2-3 hours to break plateaus, you need to train smarter.
