Default Christal (sp?) Champagne

Hey all, I have a question. This New Years Eve I was thinking of doing something really special for my girlfriend and it involves getting some Christal (sp?) champage. Has anyone ever tried this? Does it really taste as good as people say? How much does it run for a bottle? Anyone know?

Thanks.

I think its very expensive as if you've ever seen MTV Cribs all of the rappers on their brag about their bottles of christal in their fridge... so for them to brag about stuff like that when they have like $200,000 cars in their front yards Id presume its pretty expensive compared to most champagne.

Off the top of my head I would think youre probably looking at around $180-200 for a bottle.

I just did a quick look through Google for Cristal wine and from what I see you are looking at shelling out at least 200 bucks U.S. for a bottle. (just over 200 bucks was the lowest price I saw...)

I would personally get a bottle of Dom. It's just as famous but not as expensive.

I was once a connoissuer of champagne. Once you get past Chandon (around $15.00), they all start tasting the same, without any distinctive bite.

Waste of money imo, especially at your age. Buy her something she is going to remember. I doubt you would be able to tell the difference between a $200 bottle of Cristal or a $10 bottle of sparkling wine.

I can think of many better things for you to spend $200 on.
