Default droopy shoulders from deadlifts ?

i think my shoulders droop more now, which makes my shoulders seem more narrow. Anyone know of a way to combat this, besides stop Deadlifting ?

Thicken your front and side delts, over time it should give this balanced look to your upper body.

Deadlifts don't make your shoulders droopy...Muscular imbalances could. Maybe you should work your upper traps and shoulders a little to even things out.

Bro, theres no such thing as "work out alittle." Its either you work the hell outta your body or just go read some encouraging material to make you push harder.

I think its your traps. They do make your back look long vertically, so develop your shoulders more. Maybe concentrate on expanding the chest and upper back areas.

Deads don't somehow alter your shoulder structure and make your skeleton start drooping. If you get big traps though, it'll make you look kind of droopy I suppose b/c it alters your aesthetic.

I'd suggest working on your posture. Keep your chest up, and your shoulders pulled back. Most people let their shoulders slump forward. Don't.

Wow...it's actually relative terminology...sometimes it doesn't take a huge change to make a huge difference.

I think it seems logical that deadlifts could cause this but have no clue on a solution to it. If you look at most people's posture you will tend to see their "good side's" (ie if right handed than right side) trap slightly lower than the other. This is caused from frequent use in the right arm streching the trap in comparison to the other side. I used to think that the left side of my trap was bigger than the right but i went and saw a phyio about something related and they told me it was just stretched more due to use.

"The truth I’ve discovered is that you don’t have to lift enormous weights to grow muscle. By using stricter form, slower negatives, and stretching between sets you can get an incredible pump in all your workouts. Numbers are an abstraction, especially to muscles. Your body doesn’t know the absolute weight of what you lift, it only recognizes how heavy it feels. The secret is to make lighter weights feel heavier. " - Frank Zane
