Default Barbell Vs. Dumbell Question

It seems that I am much stronger with DB Bench than I am with Barbell. This week for DB I did 65lb*10, 70lb*8,70lb*8, and 75lb*5. This is a decent amount i think and I weight 155lbs. Other guys that do similar DB weight to me can do much more on the barbell than I can it seems. For BB later in the week(Yes i have more in my rountine than these for chest) I did 165*9, 155*8, 145*10, 135*12. I'm wondering if A certain muscle could be weak and that's whats keeping my bench back. So ya I'm 155 and my one rep is around 215. The rest of my routine is great though. Thanks for the input............

I've never heard of anyone having that problem. I've only seen people be weaker benching with dumbbells than with barbells.

Make sure your form is good on the barbell bench press, and your hands are spaced an even distance apart. Try to do a rotator cuff strengthening program too.

I can bench 280 once for BB and 120 (each hand lol) twice. Sometimes all that's wrong with a persons bench is position.

Feet should be firmly on the floor at all times.
Shoulder blades retracted (Don't know if this is correct form but it does increase your bench).
Don't wait too long too breathe out on the concentric.

I remember when I was stuck at benching 165 for 10 reps. It took forever to get out of that plateau but lowering your reps for awhile definetely helped me.

That is called bilateral deficit, this can be "removed" through training. Focus more on the lagging movement.

Yes I'd also like to know some, but good news I had a great bench routine yesterday and I improved. It felt great. One thing I've noticed is most everybody has horrible form on bench. They're just throwing the weight around and bouncing it off their chest. I take pride in my form haha. Im suprised more people don't get injured benching.
