Default Post cut weight gain

How much weight do you guys typically put back on in a short period after your cut (1-2 weeks)? I'm in a maintenance period til next week and I've been off my cut for a week. My weight has gone from 163 to 176 in just 8 days. I measure at the same time on the same day under the same conditions every week.

Granted, I had a 3 day binge for 4th of July weekend as a celebration of 6 months of strict diet and exercise, but there's no way that could have accounted for more than 3 pounds. I know the body retains more water when you up your carbs (I went from ~150g a day ~350g), but what are some other reasons? I'm looking for someting more in depth than "water weight". Links to any abc articles would be great.

I don't find I put much back immediately after a cut. In the past when I didn't know any better and was doing a cyclical ketogenic diet, I DID put weight back on fast. However, with my diet now I don't. This will be my second "proper" cut, so I will have more data in about a month.

I would think the reasons of gaining weight back could be your carbs were too low or you are dehydrated.

if i cut down by about 8 to 9 lbs. i will be able to put all that back on with in a few weeks ( fat stores). however, when im commin goff of a cut, i dont change as if it is , "ok now its bulk time." i slowly rotate my diet and my workouts within a 3 week overlap.i have noticed that i see greater muscle gains with minimal fat gains when doing so. also, i dirty bulk for the most part( on the weekends) and i do not start that right away either. beggining of my bulk is clean clean clean. once my body gets use to taking in the average 6 thousand callories that i use on a bulk once again, i got full blast. gotta give your body time to adjust and get ready for the heavy work.

yeah, I cut 22 pounds, and by the end my carbs were definitely very low. Most came from green veggies except breakfast and PWO. But how much of that 13 pounds could water and carbs realistically account for? 5lbs.? 10lbs.?
