I just recently started using creatine for the first time (3rd loading day today), and have noticed some minor changes in my body. I have read the creatine sticky, but I am still wondering which of you girls uses creatine? Why or why not?
Thanks!

Creatine is safe, even for women. What are these "minor changes?" Creatine will promote myofibril hydration, so expect to have minor water retention. [/ QUOTE ] Oh, I know it's safe Joe...I am just wondering if it's something that the women on this site like to supplement with. The minor changes are what is to be expected, as you said - water retention. It's not a huge deal, but I am noticing it in my stomach (which doesn't please me). Perhaps after my the loading phase it won't be as noticeable. I am going to continue supplementing with it, just wondering if other girls experience the same thing and what they do about it.

How are you taking the creatine? Make sure you are using creatine monohydrate and spooning it directly into your mouth, and don't take it with a carb source. This will help cut down on water retention or the "bloated" feeling that soem people get. [/ QUOTE ] I'm taking creatine monohydrate and I am spooning it into my mouth and washing it down with water. Don't worry - I've done my research. I do, however, tend to take it with my meals, so maybe if I take it in between meals, it will cut down on some of the water retention.

I guess there really aren't many ladies on this site, huh? It's a shame -- I think I can name almost all of the girls on here on one hand:
1.Tuf 2.Amazon 3.Waldy 4.Kristen 5.Sweetpea 6.Me! Okay, almost on one hand.

I'm sorry, I do not take creatine. I do not the money for that at this moment, but if I ever do take it, and you still haven't found your answer, I'd be happy to be your guinea pig.

By using stricter form, slower negatives, and stretching between sets you can get an incredible pump in all your workouts. Numbers are an abstraction, especially to muscles. Your body doesn’t know the absolute weight of what you lift, it only recognizes how heavy it feels. The secret is to make lighter weights feel heavier.
