My mom has been asking me about what type of soy products she can take to help her wth menopause. She told me she tried soymilk and soy beans but couldnt stand the taste. So I've been trying to find what other things can she take to help?

There are a lot of different soy milks, you have to look around for a good one.
There's soybean butter...like peabut butter made out of soy.

Waldy's right...You can get different flavors of soy milk, so it's easier to get down. There are also tons of meatless soy products in most grocery stores. You can get soy "chicken" burgers, soy "hamburger", soy pepperoni, etc...I don't think they taste all that bad. Give it a try!
I wonder if there is a soy supplement out there?

Well I am a vegitarian, so I eat soy all day long. Soy beans and soy milk are just the basics. Tell her check out these brands: Boca, morningstar and Lomalinda. Morningstar and Boca make the same kinds of foods but Boca is cheaper. The foods are corndogs, mini corndogs, burgers (5+ different types), sausage patties, sausages, bacon, Buffalo wings(morningstar, and highly recommended), and much much more.
If your looking for a tasty soy hot dog, then I recommend Lomalinda. They are by far the best tasting I have ever had. I think most soy dogs are nasty, but these are deluctious!! I just eat them straight from the can cold. I know I said can, but they are great. Lomalinda also makes many other products, so check um out!! Also definitely tofu in most any brand, I buy mine at Trader Joes, because they are much cheaper and organic. However if your mom is a vegitarian then I highly recommend supplementing with Whey protein powder in her diet, because of its larger amino acid profile and quicker absorption rate. Soy protein powder is definitely not ideal for post workout or even worth buying, because its more expensive and less optimal. Hope that helped!! |

I don't mind Soyburgers all that much. But I definately love my beef more!
