wow, i was gonna make the EXACT same post this morning bro. I feel the same way, just came off a taper too so i know it's not fatigue anymore. Losing my pump after 2 exercises then feeling like crap when i go home (compared to how mentally pumped i was before). I think it might have something to do with someone's social life (no ecouragement ect..) since i rarely go out these days. So in turn i think it is stress.

Emotionalism and bodybuiling are two topics I want to devle in more in the future. Indeed, bodybuilders need to be masters of more than their bodies, but their minds, this included emotions and sensations...from stress to pain.
[ QUOTE ] I think it might have something to do with someone's social life (no ecouragement ect..) since i rarely go out these days. So in turn i think it is stress. [/ QUOTE ] Placing your needs into the wrong category can have a dramatic effct on your satifaction levels. If you place a desired effect or goal outside of the current level of satisfaction you are operating in, discouragement is going to occur. http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/markingstrategy.php [ QUOTE ] Many bodybuilders’ place their reason for participating in the sport in the wrong part of the hierarchy of needs. Often the logic behind many people’s need to body build is placed in the social needs block. As a result these types are more susceptible to marketer’s who target directly into this category of social needs. They are also less likely to be patient for all the facts behind a supplement, and are less likely to study a topic completely, but instead want “right now” results, despite irrational logical flow. This is all in a quest to fulfill the social needs for status, love, friendship, and acceptance by others. Motivation theory suggests that we never reach a state of complete satisfaction. As soon as our lower-level needs are reasonably satisfied, those at higher levels become more dominant. Therefore if the bodybuilder could reach his or her social needs outside of the sport of bodybuilding he or she could effectively place bodybuilding in the personal need category and circumvent a whole host of potential blockades such as peer pressure and marketing strategies. Instead they could use bodybuilding to fulfill the personal needs of freedom, relaxation, accomplishment, and self-esteem, all independent of other’s opinions of their goals. The term “Bigorexia” is often defined as being preoccupied with muscle development that involves a disturbance in body image similar to anorexia. However I feel this definition is simply an oversimplification of the PSSP hierarchy of needs. There is nothing inherently wrong with wanting to achieve short and long term goals. I theorize that the difference between those who suffer from “bigorexia” and those who desire to be their personal best are those whose needs are met at different levels, as Maslow’s base model demonstrates. [/ QUOTE ] This is why we advocate spiritualism so heavily.
