I was using the lat pulldown machine for the first time yestersay. I was one that the handles are not connected and I was doing a good amount of weight for me. When I finished my 12th rep I went to stand up at the same time as letting the hadles up and the left hadle went flying up and I felt a tearing or like pop right behind my armpit. It didn't hurt but when I rotated my arm backwards it clicked and poped and had a pain with it. then it I move my arm straight out almost like a punch it clicks and pops, it also clicks and pops if I shrug my shoulder. The whole arm feels light and different from my right. And I got a slight tingling for a couple minutes easrlier today. right behind my armpit it feels like knot and it painful when I push on it. The muscle that goes from my neck to my shoulder is also softer than the one on my right. I went to the dr today and she told me to take aleve ice and rest my shoulder until mondaya nd go back if I still have the symptoms for an MRI. I'm really concerned about it and wish she refeered me for an emediate MRI. Has anyone ever done anything like this or experianced symptoms like I have now? If so what was the injury and how did you do it? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

A minor muscle tear would cause poping and clicking and pain when it clicks?

All the muscles below my arm pit around my shoulder r getting really sore now. Is this a good sign or bad? My left arm still feels like right light.

I did and they said to go back monday and if it's still doing it I will go to an orthopedist, but I decided I'm going to the emergency room first thing in the morning. Hopefully if I go in with excrutiating pain they will do an MRI on the spot and find out what's wrong. The back of my shoulder and arm pit started getting burning sensations today I'm really scared I did major damaghe that might need surgery. I just had a metal rod inserted in my femur in january. Do you know what the burning sensation could be?

Well, do you think that is a good sign? Common sense says "no." I recommend seeing a doctor. [/ QUOTE ] OK I got a chuckle out of this...
