Default If Einstein Never Lived...

"Einstein's first theory of relativity, which he published in 1905, broke away from the Newtonian reliance on space and time as immutable frames of reference. This theory was immediately recognized by the scientific community as having profound implications for physics and cosmology."

Source

In 1905, Albert Einstein released his "Special Theory" of relativity, and 11 years later released his "General Relativity." Regardless of what these papers may describe, where do you think science would be without Albert Einstein?

If he never lived, would we never have his theories of Relativity? Or, would it have been innevitable for another scientist, at another time, to have made Einstein's discoveries?

This can be asked for a lot of people...As significant as Dr. Martin Luther King, or the guy who invented velco.

What do you think?

"The truth I’ve discovered is that you don’t have to lift enormous weights to grow muscle. By using stricter form, slower negatives, and stretching between sets you can get an incredible pump in all your workouts. Numbers are an abstraction, especially to muscles. Your body doesn’t know the absolute weight of what you lift, it only recognizes how heavy it feels. The secret is to make lighter weights feel heavier. " - Frank Zane

What about if everyone was wiped out on the Earth, except a remote group of survivors, who lived cave man style, and the Earth was placed back in the condition it was 6000 years ago at its creation....would it all happen relatively the same way again?

Got anymore BRAIN BUSTERS!?

Well, only the bodybuilders would survive..that's for sure! LOL

When I saw..If Einstein...I thought, what if Einstein was a bodybuilder? How would he have postulated the Theory of Relativity? Any guesses? LOL

We must pray without tiring, for the salvation of mankind does not depend on material success, nor on sciences that cloud the intellect. Neither does it depend on arms and human industries, but on Jesus alone.

While I agree with you guys, Mac and Rocky...I think you are missing the point of the question.

It's a question on the significance of each person. One has to wonder, I know I do at least, if they possess any qualities or abilities not readily found in anyone else alive on this earth. And while pondering, I realize; I am no scientist, no theologian, no philosopher (no scientist bodybuilder ). What tasks could I perform that you couldn't?

But then lets look at Einstein. I'm sure there were many scientists working on similar ideas during his time, but Einstein just beat them to the realization of Relativity. If he hadn't made that discovery, couldn't any of his colleagues have made the same discovery? Or, was Einstein so unique that even after 100 years, we would still be without his special theory? It's hard for me to think that only Einstein could have made that discovery...or only Martin Luther King Jr. could have lead the Civil Rights movement...or only Columbus could have discovered the "new land." And if they were the only ones who could do such tasks, what do you think it would be like if they hadn't done so?

I think back in time and wonder if ANY person was the only person who could accomplish what they did. Couldn't God have found a different person to be that Father of the Jewish faith... or lead Israel out of captivity...or be the second King of Israel and write the book of Psalms? If you think all the back you wonder if there was anyone who was essential in completing the task he is know for...And of all the people, I can only come up with one person. Another scientist could have realized relativity, another explorer could have discovered the new land and another leader could have lead the civil rights movement...But for the task of saving mankind from it's sins; only Jesus could have done that. The only person ever to walk this earth who accomplished something no one else could, was Jesus.

So...What do you think?

Do you think it’s true that someone else could have realized relativity? Or discovered the new world…and so on. Or was it only possible for them to do such things?

Did you know that Einstein flunked Math when he was in school?

Did you know that Ernest Hemingway flunked English when he was in Oak Park High School?

Actually that is a myth. He did poorly in languages and flunked another course but it wasn't math. He did very well in Math.
