7/4/10 Log (deload) Happy b-day USA
Log- 55x5 107x5 147x5 177x3 207x3 177x5 177x5 177x5 Pullups (ng) bw x 5 bw x 26 (pr) bw x 13 bw x 10 High Incline Bench- 145x10 155x10 165x10 Db hammer curls- 50x8 50x10 50x12 *nice and easy day. I had to do something cool so I knocked out 26 pullups with a few left in the tank. Next time I will go for 30.

7/5/10 Light Practice for comp
Squat- 55x5 145x3 195x3 235x2 285x1,1,1,1 Bench- 145x3 195x1 DL- 285x1,1,1,1 Db swing- 50x5 50x5 Woodchopper- 35x8 45x6 6 hours later sled pulls forward- 185 x 5 x 120ft backward- 185 x 4 x 60ft *Went light on the powerlifts and practiced form. Did every hip movement I could think of to warmup for the squat and it helped a lot to get deeper. 5 more days.

you're one strong dude! good luck w/ the meet..im subscribed to see your totals. on a side note, you're from the "land of the fist pumper" does that mean Jersey/NY area? If so, where is your meet at, im new here and may look to compete some day.

7/10/10 Meet Write-up
Well things didn't go according to planned but some things did go well. This meet lasted about 8 hours and was a long day I think about 50 lifters participated.I ended up in the 2nd flight in every lift. The squat was the lift I worried about the most and I hit 2 out 3 on it. This was the first time I used a monolift and I unconciously walked out my first and second squat lol. And I hit them both. The the third I didnt walk out and got crushed. I need to use more leg power and the squat and reduce my forward lean a bit. Squats-435,455, and missed 475 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttzpdHFB2FM The bench was my most frustrating lift of the day. I opened with 325 and got the thumbs down on the lift. I am not sure why though I thought maybe I had some downward motion but looking at the video I didnt see it. So I repeated the weight and smoked it. Then 350 I got about halfway up and lost it. I was disappointed with this because I have done 365. The bench was a bit higher than mine at home which might have thrown me off a little. Besides that i could not get tight enough. Bench-325 no lift, 325 good, 350 miss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mie1sJz14cg By the time the deadlift came I could have taken a nap. Warmups went well. my last warmup of 495 flew up. I made 535 but it should have been easier. I missed 565 then tried it again and came so close to locking it out like 1 inch close. That was annoying. DL-535, 565 miss, 565miss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiKfCDG-XNg I had a blast at the meet and can't wait to do it again and improve. I ended up winning my weight class (198) which suprised me cuz I thought I sucked. I also ended up winning best lifter for the full powermeet which is based on bw (196.75) compared to your total (1315). That felt good to win that which made me feel a little better about my performance. I felt that I should have done better and gotten around a 1390-1400 total but things don't always go according to plans.

I understand things didn't go as planned, but great job on winning your class and best lifter, those are awesome achievements. 565 was super close as well, you will get it next time.

Congrats man! I saw your videos on youtube and didn't know you were going to be in a competition. I noticed your forward lean on your squat too. You just need some practice on going up with your chest first out of the hole instead of your hips and you'll be doing 475 and more in no time. Bench looked weird to me too, but I was watching it on my iPod so I couldn't see everything clearly. Nice job winning your class and best lifter and representing ABC Bodybuilding so well!
