there is an error in the example formula and the math for it is wrong as well.

The correct formula is listed above the example after the bold men (assuming you are a man): 67 + (6.24 x weight in pounds) + (12.7 x height in inches) - (6.9 x age)= BMR and plug in your own numbers for it and multiply by activity level.

This will give you the calories you need to maintain your current weight. If you are cutting, eat less, as described in the article. If you are bulking, eat more!
