Well I know that you guys like to pride yourself in being in to physical condition. Here is the U.S. Army's PT chart. First here are the rules 1. you must do you test in this order pushups, situps then your two mile run.
2. For the pushups you have to make you back of your arms parallel with your back to count as one complete pushup. 3. you have to have your hands behind your neck and someone can be on their knees holding you ankles with their hands only for situps. 4. run like hell a full 2 miles. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/army/l/blfitness.htm by the way i almost forgot you only have two minutes to do pushups then 2 minutes for situps. you cannot lay in a rest postion or your time will be up. this will be very intresting to hear you guys' results. my pt score is in the high 200's my i cab do 59 pushups, 81 situps and my run in 13:50(used to be 12:50). good luck enjoy. any questions i will be happy to answer. Haha i'm not even on the age thing there, but last year we did the same thing (just with younger age limit) and i had all over the top stuff, if I were to do it on that with the age 17-21, i got 269 points! 62 pushups, 75 situps and ran a 2 mile in just under 14 mins (haha i know long but i'm not a long distance runner!) This was when I was at my physical peak, I did martial arts, boxing, football, I lifted everyday and I wasn't sick! Haha sorry had to vent a little because last year (in grade 9, i was stronger and bigger than i am right now!)

I'll pass on that. I'm not about endurance type exercises, I like all out power for short bursts. Now, if was judged on the big three in a ratio to your bodyweight....... I might try it.
No offense, but I wouldn't wanna be able to do it, just so I wouldn't make it into the army either. I prefer school over the armed forces. |

I am not overseas, i am still in the reseves, and going to school for mechanical engineering. Btw i am not a small guy and i can still do this. I know plenty of guys who weight over 210 and bench press over 350 and still manage to run and score over a 300. just try it you might surprise yourself.
