So, I'm trying to get motivated again. I've gained about 10 lbs & lost whatever muscle I had so I know I've probably gained more than just 10 lbs. I just generally feel like a lazy, fat slob. All of my clothes are too tight & I can't afford, nor do I want to buy new ones.
I thought I was getting back on track last after the holidays. I had 3 decent weeks of working out. Then last week I got a cold. I haven't had the energy to get in there & lift again. I did some cardio last night--about 30 minutes of stepping. I broke a good sweat but tonight I feel like poop again (congested & sluggish). I've come "home" looking for inspiration...Any good words? I'm so sorry you've slipped backwards, but I'm really glad you came back!
I think you should rest and make sure you kick your cold in the butt, while also making a plan to start when you're ready. Don't go gung ho into it, you'll be likely to hurt yourself. Ease back into it slowly. You'll feel better in no time! |

Welcome back, fellow NJer!
I know it's hard when you're trying to get back into a workout routine, and then you get hit with a cold. That has happened to me a few times. Maybe it's the healthy air we breathe in this state, lol. Like Nutmeg said, lick the cold first. In the meantime reading the journals and articles on this site, and the members' encouragement is great for inspiration! You're gonna do it, girl! |
