Default drop sets

alright i'm confused

whats the difference between all these different drop sets?

example:

1 single drop set (12,12)
1 double drop set (12,12,12)
2 single drop sets (12,8)

i'm trying to clarify so let me know if i'm wrong with my asumptions.

- the first example, do a set, drop the weight, then do another set same reps?

- second example, do a set, drop weight, do a set, drop weight, do another set?

- third example, since its 2 drop sets, does that mean it's the same thing as a single drop set except do it twice? so after i drop the weight and do my second set. I go back up to my original weight do a set, then drop the weight again?

1st case: do 12 reps, drop weight, do 12 reps.

2nd case: do 12 reps, drop weight, do 12 reps, drop weight again, do 12 reps again.

3rd case: do 12 reps, drop weight, do 8 reps, drop weight again, do another 12 reps, drop weight one more time, and do the last 8 reps.

Ok we dont want to get confused here, let me clarify:
*on each drop set you want to immediately drop weight and start the next set. Thats why big man Yu takes pins with him!!!

*Whats all this doing specific 12 reps on each drop? I thought it was a rule of thumb to always go to failure on every drop set.....MAN, GO TO FLIPPIN FAILURE!!

well the above examples i copy and pasted right out of the 24 mass blitz program. I'm thinking they just put a number of reps to guide me that I should be failing around that number but can be off by a couple.
