It really, really, really depends on the guy. And even then, it may all depend on how secure the guy is with himself. I keep using this example, but here goes. I had an ex in a band. And I'd help bring stuff out to the car at the end of shows. Luggin speakers and the lot was heavy, but I could handle it. My ex didn't like it as I would carry more than he could. But his bandmate thought it was awesome as he was also tired after a night of playing.

I think you'll find quite a few guys on this site likes a girl who will lift heavy. In the gym, if you see guys doing hardcore lifts, most of them will be impressed if they see you doing the same. Just watch out for the bench monkeys who are there for the social aspects.

Girls lifting heavy and intense not only have my respect, but it's hot to watch, too. And not just SLDL, but like girls doing chins or dips, that's super cool. It's cool like watching a girl skate or doing something that's more like a "guy" thing.

That does not include burping, even though that's a guy thing.

It all depends on the guy. Some maybe impressed and respect ya, but not think of in "that way." In my personal experience with watching my buddies, a lot of guys seem to like the more "dumb down" approach. I know it sounds bad, but they always fall for a girl that walk up to them and asks how to use a specific type of equpiment. Even though most of the times I see these girl using the equipment better then the guys they are asking..

OOh! I like the dumb approach only cause its a pickup line, but a very ovous one i its clear you realy do know how to use the stuff. Then yo are not asking them on a date or anything, but it is clear you want to talk to them, and its risk free to see where it goes from there. The only thing is I hate sacraficing the intensity of my workout to stop and talk to a man, but maybe these sexy fire-man twins could be my acception

I don't really care whether my girl can lift heavy or not but she must be athletic. My gf is a total weakling but she was a professional downhill skiier and if she didn't injure her back would have probably made the Canadian olympic team. That impresses me.

everyone can tell in a gym if someone is lifting heavy for show, or for the training. sure signs are loud mouths who look around after each set and check out the fan croud. but in general heavy lifting doesnt impress me ( unless its power lifting, thats a whole different world. i use to clean and press)

as a bodybuilder, its all about what you look like, not how much weight you can throw around the gym.

Does it matter at all to me?
No.
I have my goals, regardless of what the other sex "likes".
My goal is to progress on my trainings so eventually I will be lifting heavy. It is a turn on for some guys. Gets you respect from others..It is indifferent to some. What matters to me is my goals.

What impresses me is the Woman's work ethic. I.E. is she hardcore.
