Default okay to start training again?

i hurt my rotator cuff a while back doing benchpress, and ive been off it for about 6 or 7 weeks now. i can barely feel it now when ive done a light bench. do you think its okay to put more weight on it? or is it smarter to just leave it until its 100% absolutely positively healed? (ide guess thatd take another 10 weeks to not feel it at all)

I'd ask a doctor or physical therapist. But if you want my opinion, wait until it's 100% healed. Nagging injuries suck.

I hurt my left cuff in highschool lifting and my right one in a motorcycle accident, I got help and rest for the right one and it works great, the left one still, on occasion, hurts, and it's been 7 years now. Rest and see a doctor, the time off is worth it.

Are you doing rehab exercises for it?

Cuff injuries take a long time to heal (even if it feels "better") due to the nature of those tiny, poor blood supplied muscles that they are. I've hurt both RC's and have been doing the rehab exercises for them for about 6 months now. They make a difference both in pain reduction and strength but doing these every time I work shoulders reduces the chances of re-injuring the RC.

Incorporate RC exercises ASAP and this will help.

yea i thought it was better all the way so i passed up on a doctors visit :'( which im now regretting. from what i hear i shud get one when i go back for spring break. no way to see a doc around college. ahhhhhhhhhh such a pain in the arse.

i guess ill just hafta wait on it. really pisses me off since my chest is lagging and i cant do nearly anything to develope my chest without use of my RC. i guess ill try some light RC exercises

THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING

thanks for the advice tho guys
