Default Newbie Nutrition Questions

Before anyone yells at me, i have read the stickys! I'm just not sure on some things.

How do you guys go about counting calories? I mean i can read the back of a box just fine, but what about if mom fixes a salad for dinner, or if I go out to eat at a restaurant. Do you estimate and if so how?

Just bought some flaxseed oil today... Am i supposed to just drink this straight? I know you cant cook with it.

It seems from reading some of the posts that people are pretty down on milk. I know its bad for PWO but isn't it good in other areas (like calcium maybe)? I like milk...

I had like 5 other questions in my head today but i can't think of them now. I hate when that happens! Anyways, any help you guys can give would be great.

use this for counting calories. It might be a bit difficult to do with the scenarios you listed, but im sure you could come close.

Oh man. if you can drink this stuff straight you deserve an award. mix it in a glass of water.

besides the PWO, milk is terrible because of the sugar as well as other processed nutrients in it. Take a multi vitamin daily and you will get calcium, and you could always supplement with pure calcium pills if you really wanted to.

Hope this helps!
