Default need some advice about losing fat and gaining muscle

what an incredible website. <font color="blue"> </font> <font color="blue"> </font>

okay, first of all i know it's not good and somewhat a bad thing to try to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. so i'm not even going to go there...

i am following the 13 week fat loss diet. it seems that my energy somewhat lags/ mental focus is stale when i don't have enough carbs. should i just hang in there and let my body get used to it? or should i increase my carbs? i know if i do this, it might screw up the diet. also, i have flax seed oil capsules. how many should i take a day and with what meals.
another question, after i workout [i workout late before i go to bed] should i eat a meal?

and for me who is just starting out, is it possible to get too much protein at first? should i just ease into this protein-wise?

also, i am doing cardio 4-5 xs a week and working out with weights about the same. i just started this routine about two weeks ago. but it seems like the hardest thing to lose fat. so i do the cardio and do the weights in hopes that i start to lose the fat and start to tone up this body. but i think i'm doing everything right so far...i guess i just need some advice and words of encouragement from someone who has been there and has transformed their body into something they are proud of.

thanks for listening

michael

Then you can keep your carbs higher for now. Especially with that much cardio.

You can significantly alter your body composition however. I.E. metabolize fat, and gain lean muscle tissue. It also depends on training age.

At least 1 gram to 1.5 grams per pound of body weight

YOu have come to the right place! You might check out the journal section of this site and the HYPERplasia challenge. Several people are in there. You might also do a search. Tons of people on here have changed drastically.

if youre feeling tired/out of it, you need to add some more food to your diet. that tiredness will bite you in the !@#$%^&* one day & youll end up pigging out on a pizza with a milkshake & fries... trust me, youll benge like crazy.

i like what xavier said, u can alter ur body composition, lose bodyfat and gain lean muscle..........however, it just requires a very strict diet. Trust me, after years of often cheating and skipping protein meals for cookies, the results of a good strict diet have really surprised me. I always read it was that way, but once I felt it for myself, man, did that give me some fire. It's just finding a diet that will work for you.
