Get a pregnancy test?!

No, I am by no means expecting or anything and definately shouldn't be pregnant and most likely am not. But I had to go over to the health dept. today to refill my bc pills. I figured since my boyfriend and I *are* sexually active with eachother, one wouldn't hurt either way, especially to kill my paranoia. We use condoms and I take my pill religiously.

I know I'll get "Why have sex if you're going to be paranoid about becoming pregnant?" and what-not. I really shouldn't be paranoid, but everyone knows that all bc methods are not 100% effective.

The nurse, however, said I should be praised for using two methods of bc and not just relying on the pill or a condom.

Now why all of the other times are they so EAGER to give pregnancy tests when there is no way on earth a person is pregnant, but when they just want to be 100% sure that their methods are working and are not pregnant, they hassle you?

The nurse wanted me to make an appointment and blah blah blah after reassuring me I was not pregnant since I haven't had any "symptoms" even though the test is as simple as urinating in a little pink Dixie cup and the use of a test strip...

Don't you have some kind of medical store where you live? I think you can buy some pregnancy tests there.

Word. And many cities have free clinics that will test. Planned Parenthood will also test for free.

That's where I went. To the free clinic. I have to get my bc pills for free because they're so expensive.

Just the clerk at Walmart. Or you can pay the $6.99 and save your energy for your workout. I'm a nurse. The tests they use at a clinic in which you pee in a cup are the same as the ones you buy over the counter now.

Not to preach at ya bomb. But there is one method, that is 100% and no need to be ashamed or paranoid about one's life... The God method. [img]/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] That is to stay pure until you are married! [img]/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Makes sense too. If everyone did it God's way, STD's would be eradicated in one generation.
