Today is the 1st day of 10.5 weeks of dieting for my 1st fitness show. I have wanted to be as fit as my potential will allow for about 10 years now. I have trained for a fitness competition once before about 2 years ago. I dieted for almost 12 weeks and did not go through with it. I did learn a lot though. The length of time I dieted at this time was too long for me. I lost the body fat a lot quicker than I thought that I would, thus I am starting at 10.5 weeks (also for my sanity).
Presently, with a knee injury and an older body, I am determined to go through with this show no matter what, unless, i am just unable to get out of bed for some odd reason. DAY 1 I feel achy and very stuffed up. I go to the gym and do a short back workout. Meal 1: scoop prot & scoop glutamine 1/2 c oatmeal 1 small banana Meal 2: 1/2 chick breast 1/2 yam Meal 3: 1/2 can tuna 1 egg white 1/2 yam Meal 4: 1/2 chick breast 1 serving pasta plain I realized today that I have a tough time getting in more than 4 meals. I have to eat more often at work if possible. The pasta was not in my diet, but I did not have any rice made. (no excuse though) Oh, I suppose I should give my stats. Age: 31 Weight: 121 lbs Height: 5ft 3 and 1/2 in Body Fat off 4 point test (all upper body pinches): 24% I think this site is so awesome. I am just giving this journal business a shot to keep my motivation up. Thanks! |

Oh, the dieting is the hardest part. I really admire your determination. Remember that we are all "watching" you.
This site is terrific. If you get the "munchies", just come here and post something. It will help get passed the cravings. The best of luck to you. Keep up the journal and keep us informed!! (If 31 is old then I am ready for the grave). |

LoL!! ok, i am not that OLD! but doing gymnastics at this age is much tougher than it was in high school. Thank you so much for your comments. Yes, I will need help to stay on track, especially at night. Talk soon.
