You're working your core which is really more important in sports than most people think, especially for lineman(don't know what you intend on playing). For your abs dont do the BW reps, weigh yourself down with a fat old 40 pound dumbell and go, treat it like all other mucles but with less sets, no more than 3 should be fine.

BTW what level are you trying to play at? From reading your post on your class schedule I'm thinking your in college. If you're playing in college what division???

Heres my situation Piz. Im at DeVry (a tech school, no sports) and im leaving that school after this semester ends (Feb 28th) and im going back home for about 6 months. Im going to look for a JC to go to, study kinesiology, and play football for them for about 2 years, in which time I will develop quite a bit. After that, im hoping to get a scholarship to a major university and maybe play some D-1 ball! Its a big goal, but I have no doubt in my mind that with the proper mindset, dedication, and insanely hard work, I can attain that goal, and go even further.

Oh yeah, about my abs, right now I need to build up to the point where I can get plenty of reps (30-40) before I start adding the weight. I will definitely take your advice when the time is right.

Oh yeah, im thinking D-Line and O-Line.

Probably around 20% Fahysmoto. Thanks for stopping by! My lifts are crap in my opinion, but you just keep stopping by, you will see a constant and never ending increase

Great Arm Workout today.

Thursday 2/12/04

Barbell Curls
90 x 4 - pretty hard, cheated most of these up, but thats ok.
80 x 4 - Same deal, bit easier
70 x 5 - Good stuff, great clean reps
60 x 5 - Great clean reps
50 x 6 - Clean, excellent reps, and did one more then last workout

Skull Crushers Bomb dizzle exercise for shizzle
90 x 3 - bit sloppy
80 x 6 - Woot woot
70 x 8 - Bomb dizzle
70 x 7 - Still an improvement
70 x 5 - Woot woot

Alternating Dumbbell Curls
45 x 4 - Ehh
40 x 5 - Good stuff
35 x 5 - Woot
35 x 5 -
35 x 6 - There was some funky wanna be rapper white guy making faces at himself in the mirrors and doing funny arm movements, and "powercleaning" the 55 lb. dumbbells, but I think he was trying to curl... So I imagined I was punching him in the face, and I pulled out 6 reps

French Press
80 x 5 - Good improvement over last week, getting stronger
80 x 3 - Good [*%#*%*#]
75 x 5
75 x 4 - still an improvement over last week
75 x 4 - Good ending

Hammer Curls 1 minute rest
45 x 4 - ehh
40 x 4 - Ehhh
35 x 5
35 x 5
35 x 4

Good workout, im positive that my increased Tricep strength is correlated with my inrease in bench weight.

Sunday 2/15/04 -Squat/Deadlift

O M G - Today really kicked my butt.

Squat
135 x 10
225 x 10
245 x 10
260 x 7 -PR
275 x 5 -PR

I almost puked with these, it felt great, im still delerious 2 hours later I know the weights arent high at all, but im working on it, and ive always had a problem with adding weight to squat, and since im making progress, im happy.

Deadlifts
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 5
315 x 5
315 x 5
315 x 5
315 x 5

Great stuff, almost ripped a calus (sp?) off my hand, crazy wonderful stuff.

I spent about 50 minutes between the shower/jacuzzi/steam room... pretty much zoned out in each one, I was drained.

GREAT WORKOUT, excuse me, I need to finish my tuna and pass out...
