I've given myself a goal for this next year and a half or so. To make a name for myself in football and to get offered at least one athletic scholarship. I'll start by preparing like all hell for the upcoming combines.
<font color="red">Combine Testing </font> Vertical Jump <font color="blue"> 27"-32" </font> Bench Press <font color="blue"> 185: 30+ reps 225: 15+ reps </font> Pro Agility Run <font color="blue"> 4.5-5 seconds </font> 40 yd Dash <font color="blue"> Approximately 5.0 seconds </font> 3 Cone <font color="blue"> 7-8 Seconds </font> Anthropometric Measurements <font color="blue">Neck: 18-20" Chest: 45+" Biceps: 17+" Thigh: 28+" BF%: 13-18% Weight: Whatever I'm fastest and strongest at</font> Broad Jump <font color="blue"> 7+' </font> The bold items are the events tested at the combines and the items in blue are what I expect of myself if I am to make a name for myself. My training program will be to make myself more explosive, leaner, and to excel in these areas and on the football field. Note: Current statistics for these events are unknown and most likely terrible. I will update you on my progress as time goes on. |

I would like to know your stats now, but you said you don't know them.
Anyway, if you're able to acheive all that you're going to be a tank on the football field. Remember to keep us posted of your progress, I'm interested to see you transform. |

i think vert is around 25 40 is around 5.5 3 cone: no clue bp: 185x5 ![]() proag:got timed @ 4.2 in pads during season Neck - 17" Chest 40+ Bi- too small Thigh roughly 30. broad jump no clue 5'9" 250. |

thats A LOT to change in one year. are you sure your vert is around 25"??? typical D1 basketball player verts are 28" and theyre alot lighter than 250. good luck. you have to be really smart on your training style because once you start something your not in a position where you can do something new half way. If you ask me work on your speed more than anything cause if you can deliver a 250lb hit with speed and technique then your strength will barely matter ... remember

I believe I'm going to do a 3 or 4 day lifting split with 3 days of cardio.
cardio will be high intensity, either jumpstretch or speedtraining class 2/3 days, and the other day will be endurance training either at home on the elliptical or at a track. i'm also going to see if i can find myself a trainer in the area. if i could that would make such a huge difference for me and help me achieve my goals at a more rapid pace. |

well, i'm at 250 right now. I want to be around 220 for the combine, so I will be cutting starting monday i think.
Eh, I'll just start the diet tomorrow. But i'll work on it over the weekend to get it more exact .. need to read some more articles. I've decided that I will devote my time immediately following school to getting in shape (3-6). I will be lifting, running/jumpstretch/speedtraining, and playing basketball primarily. I know that most of you will consider this overtraining, but I won't be using a major caloric defecit so I can lose fat yet also keep a decent amount of my muscle. |
