When rest/pausing on bench press....do you rack the weight or lock out? I have been locking out
but can't seem to squeeze out many more reps...the workout I am doing calls for "eeking" out 3-4 extra reps but I seem to only, barely, eek out 1-2 more. Any suggestions? |

Anywhere from 3-5 seconds....seems like it is just long enough to get two really deep breaths and
then go for it again.... |

I find that's typical for me. I lock out at top of movement for a few seconds, and can get 1 or 2 more, then I rest again for a few more seconds, and can get 1, maybe 2 more. Then I'm done. That should qualify for the "eeking out 3-4 reps using rest/pause" instructions.
You can rest/pause several times if needed. |
