Last summer was the very first time I dared to wear mini shirts and mini shorts...... (but I ONLY wore that as well....

Doing my first little fitness competition, showing myself on stage only dressed in bikini (even though I wasn't physically ready yet), gave me a lot of selfconfidence....

BUT, we are human beings and we will always doubt on our own capacities.........

mini goal is to fit into the pair of size 7 jeans in my closet.i am almost there.long term goal is to fit into the size 4 jeans folded up in the top of my closet that my aunt gave me because they are to big for her now.

ok and here goes more than you want to know.
i will never look good naked or be able to wear belly shirts because i have massive stretch marks from having two kids and being 100 pounds over weight.this makes me sad,but hey i have still come a long way!

Hey Amanda - You have come a long way! What an accomplishment! I know b/c I have those same "badges of honor" from having kids (and from losing about 50 lbs myself). I can wear a bikini if it is cut high enough to cover the stretch marks *and* that little bit of extra loose skin that has never tightened up all the way. If It doesn't get tightened up in another year (been a year since I lost the weight) I may go have it snipped! So....looking good naked doesn't totally apply to me either. I am talking about looking good naked IF those other caveats didn't apply to me! Like shape and muscle!! So there is my TMI contribution for the day! LOL!

Listen carefully girls: Men love women in skirts!! With the correct high heals, and the way we all work out, our legs look one million times better than most. Forget the tight jeans - a skirt or dress is the way to go!!

As far as tops go, I feel too naked if the top is too short but I love showing off my arms and delts with a fancy tank or sleeveless thing. It works especially well for dancing because you tend to get hot and sweaty and skimpy tops help keep you cool. Then I order a beer in a mug so that when I carry it, my biceps bulge. Come on girls, we work out so hard - let's show the world the results. Don't be so shy - you all look amazingly better than you all think!!

Hmmm. I think I'd like to wear those really tight cute shorts that you see the girls in Oxygen mag wearing. That's my goal. I'm cool with my upper body, but it's the lower that I "dare to bare'!!

Sage and Amanda, I can totally I identify with the massive stretch marks and loose skin. I have been plagued by those for 6 years. But just this morning I looked in the mirror and said to myself "Who cares what everyone else is going to think. My husband and I know that I've come a long way. My skin may not be as smooth as a baby's bottom, but there's a six-pack under those stretch marks!!!!". I've decided that when my husband and I go on our honeymoon, this December, I'M GONNA WEAR A TWO PIECE. (I may even post pictures).

Watch out!!!
