Now why did you post this in the Women's Forum GP? Are you insinuating that us men don't bake well?

Psalm 118 is the middle chapter of the entire Bible.
Psalm 117, before Psalm 118 is the shortest chapter in the Bible.
Psalm 119, after Psalm 118 is the longest chapter in the Bible.
The Bible has 594 chapters before Psalm 118 and 594 chapters after Psalm 118.
If you add up all the chapters except Psalm 118, you get a total of 1188 chapters.
1188 or Psalm 118 verse 8 is the middle verse of the entire Bible. Should the central verse not have an important message?
"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man."

Coincidence? I think not.

Oh, man, me too. Unfortunately, 99% of that cooking is boiling eggs (the other 1% consists of opening cans of tuna for myself).

I put mine in the microwave, sorry. (Pierce all over with a fork and nuke for about 6-8 mins on high for a hand sized one.)

Lord Jesus Christ,
Let me seek you by desiring you, & let me desire you by seeking you;
Let me find you by loving you, & love you in finding you.
I confess, Lord, with thanksgiving, that you have made me in your image, so that I can remember you, think of you, & love you.
But that image is so worn & blotted out by faults, & darkened by the smoke of sin, that it cannot do that for which it was made unless you renew & refashion it.
Lord, I am not trying to make my way to your height, for my understanding is in no way equal to that, but I do desire to understand a little of your truth which my heart already believes & loves.
I do not seek to understand so that I can believe, but I believe so that I may understand;
and what is more, I believe that unless I do believe, I shall not understand.

i tried one in the microwave last time but it came out pretty bad, too mushy. i had one in a restuarant the other day that was baked and it was gooooooood

i will just give it a shot at 400 for 20 or so minutes, just use the squeeze test to see when it is done

20 mins won't be enough.

bake it at 350 for an hour.
still pierce it with a fork and turn it over after a half hour.

You can bake a whole bunch at once then refrigerate them.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The FINAL Answer Is: Place aluminum foil on baking sheet. Place washed but unpeeled sweet potato on said baking sheet and bake 450 degrees for approx 1 hour. Squeeze with a hot mit to see if it is soft. Skin should be slightly "charred" and bubbled up off of the sweet potato's soft insides.

I bake about 5 or 6 up at a time, let them cool and place them in the frige in a ziplock bag. I reheat them in the microwave for lunch. Peel first, mash on my plate and reheat for about a min to a min and a half. Top w/ 1/2 c 1% cottage cheese. Great lunch w/ a mixed green salad on the side! If i'm having some other protein, I'll just sprinkle Garam Masala spice on it. It is GREAT!

I have also peeled and chopped the sweet potatoes up into chunks, spread in a pam sprayed casserole dish, sprayed the tops w/ Pam, sprinkled generously w/ Garam Masala, stirred and then roasted in 450 degree oven for about 45 min to 1 hour. VERY good. Can use SF syrup lightly drizzled over this.

I'm a sweet potato lover! I LOVE them roasted but HATE the whipped marshmallowy Thanksgiving kind!
