I bought a pair from Wal-Mart but they are too big and bunch up in the palm of my hand. The smaller size kinda felt too small, so I am wondering what I need to do about finding a different kind. I am getting callouses that I presume are normal for lifting heavier. But my sweaty palms are an accident waiting to happen when lifting heavy.
BTW I am really enjoying doing the strength rotation that I am doing and seeing just how high I can go with the weight. I just did this past week, 55 pound squats (up from 50 pounds) and managed to get the barbell over my head ( I work out at home don't have a spotter or a rack). That was an accomplishment in and of itself. I hope to start to see results soon. Thanks

any sporting goods store should have them and good brands as well. i dont know any specific brands (dont use gloves) but you could probably go off the price tag to determine if one pair was manufactured cheaper than another
stores like Sports Authority if you have one of those close

I think the kind I use is called Valero (or maybe Volero?). I really like mine. Picked them up at MC Sports. They have several brands, and I just tried a bunch on to see what felt best. In fact, their free weights are right by their gloves, so with every pair I tried on I pumped out a couple bicep curls to see how they felt with weight in my hand. Do a little shopping, get a little workout in at the same time!

I agree with schless, you have to try them out. I had a thinner pair that still gave me callouses. I have these ones now called "ocelot." Very padded in the palms but I like them a lot. |

I lift heavy 4-5 x's a week, so they definately get their use. My last pair had white on the inside of the hand and they got dirty the first use, but they lasted! I will always get total black gloves from now on. It's pretty gross when you think about how many people touch those things (and whipe their nose, butt, etc... ) I used to bite my nails too... thank God I stopped!
