Maybe I am not explaining or stating myself clearly..I was told that there is a difference between BMI and LBM TODAY.I argued this point by saying that the armed services testing standards were outdated....I was then told that these two things are two DIFFERENT THINGS.In other words, that after being tested 3 times in a month( by two different methods)and receiving the same the same body fat levels(17.5) but this morning I was told AFTER they punched in my weight and height that I had a BMI of 23 and once again I argued this point. They say the BMI is only used to rate morbidity and that body fat testing for lean muscle mass vs fat is a different ballgame.....?????

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a standardized chart used to estimate body fat.

BMI doesn't take body fat into account. It just gives you a number based on your sex, total weight, and height.
