Default Ok. I know I shouldn\'t, but...........

What food do you eat that you know you shouldn't but you just can't seem to give up. For me it's raisins for breakfast in my oatmeal. Ok, I confess.

I confess to a banana in my oatmeal every morning and a TBSP of low-fat cream in my jello daily.

1.5oz cheese at least 2x a week (it is low-fat, but still), and another couple times I have 20 cals worth of Parmesan on my whole-wheat pasta.

I am also having the weirdest experience with sugar-free chocolate. I eat it as a cheat, but everytime I do eat 1oz of it, I lose weight/inches the next day. That is 150 cals of fat and carb (low GI carb because it is sugar-free, but still) on top of my normal calories and then the weight/inches loss. I tried 150 extra cals of PB but no, no magic change the next morning. Weird.

Anyway, as long as it keeps working I am gonna keep the chocolate a couple times a week, although it sounds too good to be true. Last week I had it twice, and I lost 1/4" on my waist and thighs each time.

Definately potatoe chips, or french fries....anything potatoe. Mind you I'll try to keep as a cheat but if someone were to open a bag and offer me some...I WOULDN'T say no!

I have these low-cal hot chocolate sachets that are 40cals each. At the moment I am trying not to buy them but I justlove them, I would have one evrey night.

I also confess to having a big weakness for raisins, and also these microwaveable poppadoms (only 30 cals each! and I'm sure they're pretty low GI as they're made of lentils)

I also find it hard to resist the free cookies and coffee we have at our weekly departmental seminars. It certainly helps to relieve the boredom.

Oh heck, there's a lot of foods I haven't COMPLETELY given up. I eat a banana in my oatmeal in the mornings when I have them. Every once in a while I'll drink a cup of milk. And I eat cheese all the time, regular cheese. I don't eat lowfat crap anytime cause it's never the fat I'm worried about, I'm a carboholic. It's always WAY more likely that I'll eat too many carbs rather than too much fat. I also eat Nature Valley granola bars and probably shouldn't. They've got 11-13 grams of sugar per 2 bars, per 1 bar on the Strawberry Yogurt ones. But I look at it this way, if I can hold 16% bodyfat and still do that, then why the heck not since I gotta eat this way the rest of my life to stay lean. So if I don't have to be too strict then obviously I'm more likely to stick with it for the long haul.

Now for those who are competing, it's a different story.

That's not a cheat!

Apples and natural peanut butter is fine as long as it's not like several apples a day.

Yeah, I know it's not technically a cheat, but I think it may be a problem food/too high in carbs for me right now is all.

Keeping in mind "doing what works for you" I see. Good thinking!
