Default What shoes do you train in?

Hi guys!
It's time for me to get a new pair of gym shoes and I was just wondering what you all wear when you're lifting (I'm thinking squats, specifically). When I had a trainer I was using Nike Shox because they were really good for plyometric moves, but now that I am on my own and lifting heavy again I find the "spring" in the back makes my heel too unstable when I squat. Right now I'm using the Asics shoes that I run in, but I would like to have some specifically for lifting. Any suggestions?

I train in a pair of wrestling shoes. They are flat, and offer absolutely no support, other than the fact they are 3/4 high top. The reason I got these is for squats, and other leg work. I like the barefoot feeling squatting. Lately I've been wearing a decent pair of cross trainers, but today I squatted and missed my wrestling shoes. These shoes are for indoors only, so make sure you dont wear them outside!

I like to use a cross trainer also since I do a combination of weights and cardio (less cardio these days since I'm on a bulk), but it does cut down on the expense of more shoes.... money I could use for more travelling!!!

I try everything in the store on but always seem to wind up choosing Nike crosstrainers. I have high arches and they seem to feel best on my feet.

I just wear my old vans. Nothing special. They're supposed to be skater shoes. I don't skate. They're just comfy.

I always find myself buying either New Balance "cross training" shoes or addidas. I love em both. I almost always buy cross training shoes. They just feel good on my feet and they don't rub in the ankle area. I hate when I buy shoes and then they cut into the back of the ankle! OUCH!! These shoes I get haven't ever done that, so I don't want to change!
