Default Seated Chest Press vs Bench Press

I train at home in my basement and have access to limited equipment and have no training partner (there is no gym in the town where i live). I have a home gym system where i can do Seated Chest Presses. I like them because I don't need a spotter, but are they as good as Bench Presses? Not like i have a choice (i don't have a regular bench ), but just curious about some pros and cons.

i don't think they're because with a bench press you work alot more muscles and the chest press you're not. i also have a home gym system and i have free weights i find that the bench press is alot harder to do than a chest press, but if you only have a chest press then just do that

Yes, free weights before machines...ALWAYS remember that! Don't turn into one of those people that only use machines, or rarely use free weights... I'd bet you anything that it they went and took part in an intense sport, they would get injured from a lack of supporting muscle work. And yes, bench press is better than chest press, but hey, do what you can do man. Pick up some dumbbells man, you'll love 'em.
