Default Whey or Soy?

Which one is better--whey protein or soy protein?

I can slam down a whey shake no problem, but I actually like the taste of some shakes with soy in them. I thought that I heard once that whey was preferable for weightlifting, but I don't remember why.

use whey protein immediately after your workout. whey is a fast absorbing protein which means it gets to your muslces faster and right when they need it, after your workout i also use whey when i first get up in the morning because my body is in a catabolic state from sleeping all night and not eating.

i use soy at times throughout the day as it is a slower absorbing protein.

Soy also raises estrogen levels in your body which is why a lot of BB avoid it.

Soy protein is hard to digest but is usually cheaper. You get more "bang" for the buck though by purchasing whey.

It raises them very minimally....
