Default Does skipping helps?

what does skipping helps actually? To make one grow taller or is it a form of cardio? I seldom work out in gyms now but would like to try skipping at home as an alternative. How long must i skip everyday?

To make one grow taller?!! Huh?!!!

Skipping is simple cardio. It's great to get up your heart rate.

Try to skip for 10-15 mins 3-5 times a week.

I like to skip for interval training: 5-10 mins on the bike for warm up, 1 min of skipping, 3 mins of biking, 2 mins of skipping etc

We have a man-made trail here in the Atlanta, GA area that goes all the way to Alabama. The trail (named Silver Comet) is a former railroad track path. I say all this to say that I skip there and skipping is great cardio!

I would do a HIT type cardio workout. this type of workout does not really burn that many cals during the actual activity but kicks the metabolism into overdrive once your are finished.

skip for 30 seconds
walk in place for 30 seconds
repeat until 15-20 minutes has elapsed

* this type of cardio will spare LBM while increasing the metabolism, which targets stored fats...
