posted by Barlow:
Pain is not the word its different than we thought tho Rick i cant bend over i got to stand up straight if i drop my pen or somert OUCHIE!!! anyone got any ideas best way to help speed up recovery? be very appriciated if please place ideas in ere

Recovery ideas (these are what work for me):

* Hot shower immediately after workout (or as soon as you can).
* Aspirin. Not Tylenol, aspirin. I don't know why but aspirin works better for me. Maybe its mild blood-thinning quality aids circulation or something.
* Ben-Gay (topical "heat ointment"). Whether it's the ointment that helps or the massage rubbing it in, I don't care as long as it works.
* Keep moving! If you have a desk job, MAKE yourself get up every 30-45 minutes and walk around, stretch, etc. If you sit still for 2 hours straight you're begging for MAJOR PAIN when you finally do get up!
* Keep the area warm. A jacket over the legs looks funny to co-workers but helps me be able to stand up, and well, that's important ...
* Lots of extra water, even more than you normally drink.
* Increase complex carbs slightly that day.

Hope this helps!

Hey Barlow!
Sorry I haven't been able to comment as much!
I've almost ready to graduate college and I'm busy as heck!

But your looking good bro! Keep it up!
If you liked the double negatives, stay tuned for next month's mag. I'm going to have a huge part about incorportating DN in your workouts!

See Ya!
