Military MREs are terrible, they do have some good ones that are edible if you don't think of it but they are meant to last 5 years with all the sodium and other preservatives. Also, they actually cost more than a hot meal or a box lunch. Every month long exercise I've been on, I lose 10-15lbs because I only drink the coffee, eat the soup or choc. bars of the meals I hated and the odd one I could stomach. Usually brought my own soup, soldier fuel bars and pop tarts in a follow-on kit bag to help me through. Not to mention we use heater bags or pressure cookers to cook them, not very practical if you have access to a kitchen, better to make it fresh! Or as suggested Smart Start prepackaged meals.

Guavas, gong pepper, fresh natural herbs, spinach, kiwi fruit fruit, pawpaw, lemon, cauliflower, belgium's capital seedlings and berries are great source of vitamin C...

Man... this thread is still kicking.
Lately a company that does this (sorta) has come to fruition, its called Freshology. www.freshology.com , also featured on The Biggest Looser. The company I work for partnered with them to help create their iPhone app. During the engineering phase we were shipped a few shipments of their food. From a bodybuilding perspective, there isn't enough protein. From a gym-rat perspective, the meals were nearly perfect. They tasted good too. |

Well I've also believed about personal food planning like going into, somebody's home and making
them lunch or whatever. Of course this would, be costly but probably about the same cost as going out to eat for a family of 4 ($56). Could be provided by a lot of people I think.

however there are many suggestion to get those ready to eat power foods especially made for BBers but i can't suggest to go for those without a proper consultation with your trainer for a good diet plan as per you body needs..
