don't judge a person, you will be accused as if you are projecting your own attitude into them..

You don't need an alternative to jogging, you need an entire switch in how you think.

Jogging is part of the mind set that you have to do "cardio" to get lean.

You need to change your mindset to getting lean with your diet.

There is one more aspect to getting lean, and that is retaining muscle. When you are in a caloric deficit in an attempt to get lean/lose fat, you must give your body a reason to KEEP the muscle while LOSING the fat, otherwise, you will not be happy with your results.

Therefore, it is wise to lift weights. This tells your body to keep the muscle and the fact that you are eating less and eating smart tells your body to lose the fat.

You DON'T need an alternative to jogging. You need a fresh perspective.

Eat right and lift weights.

If you absolutely feel like you must do something else, please don't go overboard. And pick something that is more conducive to keeping muscle such as: sprinting, pushing/pulling a sled, dumbbell swings, barbell complex, farmer's walks, or battle ropes.

Good luck.

IF you are a woman, why are you using the Adonis Index to tell you what your "ideal" proportions are? The Adonis Index is just for MEN. Seems like you would have known that since you looked into it. Also, IF you are a woman why do you say your "ideal" weight for being 5'6" tall is 148 lbs? That is the "ideal" weight for a MAN based on the chart that you linked to here. Seems like IF you were a woman you would have seen that your "ideal" weight is 140 lbs.

So I say again . . . DEFINITELY TROLLING!!

I got something useful! My nutrition and weightlifting were already pretty good but I thought about some of the points you made and a couple of weeks ago cut jogging out. Now the only form of "cardio" I do is sprints a couple of times a week and I have definitely gotten in better shape. I dropped from about 9% bf to around 7% in a couple of weeks and am the heaviest I have ever been at this lean. Thanks for the info.
