Default Split Advice

Currently I am doing:

Monday: Back/biceps
Tuesday: Cardio
Wednesday: Chest/Shoulders/Triceps
Thursday: Legs
Friday: Light cardio/ olympic lifting/ abs

I am satisfied with my current split, but would love to hear ideas on how to mix up things.

Thanks in advance.

i say don't. it's a bad idea to look into other splits & theories when you are satisfied with one (which is working for you).

you will only end up prematurely jumping onto the next, like the idea of grass being greener on the other side..

when you know something is working shut your mind (temporally) and just focus on what's working ... so it keeps working.

It all depends on what your goals are. What are you trying to achieve?

I agree with Greatkeen that if it is working than stick with it. I am all for milking all the progress you can get out of any split/program.

I also think Cory makes a good point, that trying to suggest new splits is partially dependent on your goals/focus.

Thanks for all of the responses. I think I will stick with it...atleast for the time being.

My goal is to shed some fat. While I feel like I am making positive progress...the scale has me at about the same weight that I started. I do not focus so much on the number on the scale and attribute this to gaining some of the muscle back from the period of not working out.

If fat loss is the main goal, the program/split doesn't matter so much. Fat loss is achieved with a sensible diet. In terms of program/split, just make sure to train smart and hard to give your body a reason to maintain the muscle while in a caloric deficit.

I have been eating healthy; much healthier than I was during college (where i put on the extra pudge). After weighing myself recently and not seeing much change I have been even more aware of what and when I have been eating.
My digestion and my bowel movements are finally seeming to regulate (during the period of time I was in shape and eating healthy I remember this happening and would defecate at roughly the same time everyday). So I am assuming this is a good sign.

If you stalled in your fat loss for more than a week or two, than considering cutting out some carbs/calories.
