Hey,
I had this problem for about 9 months. I get this sharp needle pain somewhere around my lower traps like on the picture below: http://postimage.org/delete/vqmsvf076/ It always occurs if I do shrugs. So I decided to not work my shoulders or traps anymore (this helped a lot to decrease the overall pain). The pain occurs less than a second and I can't willingly make it happen. I can just get this pain when I sit on a chair or just lying on the bed. It doesn't really hurt if I do chest workout or leg workout. But ot can hurt the day after and occur about 5-15 times during the day. What should I do about this? I tried acupuncture but it didn't help. He thought I had a trigger points somewhere, but I don't know. Any advice? I just wanna be able to do shoulder/biceps workout again as I did before without this pain. |

Sounds like it could be a pinched nerve. I would get checked out by a chiropractor if I were you...
