I'm already at my optimal weight based on my height.. 5'6" = 148 lbs.
but there are parts of my body that are asymmetric, my hips and waist are oversized according to "adonis index" and my chest, shoulders, biceps etc..are undersized. http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/a...ng/measure.jpg If I try to increase the size of the parts of my body(gain muscle mass), do I need to increase my weight? what are the signs that you are gaining muscle mass? is it based on gaining weight? but I worry that I will become overweight If I increase my weight, or it is necessary for gaining muscle mass? should I let my weight gain in order to gain muscle mass in order to achieve the ideal size of my body(shoulders, chest, biceps, etc..) even if exceeds the Ideal body weight.. then after that, I will try to lose weight in order to lessen the size of my assymetrical parts(hips, waist). what to do? Thanks.. ![]() |

Can the charts be a rough guide? Sure. But they are not the end all be all of your bodyweight.

Good answers above. I would just say, don’t make this rocket science and get yourself lost in the #s before you even get started. Keep it simple. Work hard. Get a good progressive workout program together and be consistent with it. Eat right and track the changes to your body in the mirror and not on the scale. Who cares what some chart on the internet says your weight should be? Build the physique that you think looks best on you when you look in the mirror.

In an ideal globe, everyone would reduce fat and build muscular completely simultaneously and their range body weight would stay the same. However, that is very difficult to do. More genuine is that at best, your body fat will stay continuous while you build muscular significance the range will go up.
